AMX is making a comback in a big way. I just recently learned about the newer MUSE platform which uses standard programming languages which allows for customized control even more than before. Built on top of Python programming language means anything is possible. It also uses node red and open source block diagram platform allowing simple control of almost any device. A great example is leveraging the Amazon ALEXA to control your AV system
DSP
The BSS audio processor has made progress with the new OMNI system. This is great for large scales spaces such as theme parks, shopping malls and many others.
Q-sys is coming out with more innovative products. A new paging station utilizes a standard touch screen with a microphone adaptor allowing for much more flexibility to control what to page and when
